I've seen the LG Prada GUI and this is simply not true. The iPhone GUI was in development for about 3 years, long before any Prada phone ever existed.

Maybe that's what he meant to say, but what he actually said was... nothing... When a company develops a new technology, such as a new GUI, they have the right to something called "Copyright". It helps them make money and rewards them for their innovation. It keeps other people from leeching off of your hard work. If you don't want Apple, then don't buy Apple. It's that simple. So just stop complaining.

i guess what he meant to say was that apple may come up with the comfortable to use interfaces but that they shouldnt be limited to apple products, i mean id rather have something other than an apple product as well for a nice work flow

Apple innovated, and they copied. They're just as bad as Microsoft. Apple is currently suing them based on their interface. I hope Apple wins.
