This is a poem that the Lord laid on my heart to write. The date I have at the beginning of the video shares when it was written. It was indeed completed on that day, but it actually took longer to write, because it was put on "hold" for almost a year. For those of you who are interested in reading the story behind this poem, I have placed it below. I hope you all enjoy it, and may the Lord Jesus richly bless you!
THE STORY BEHIND THIS POEM:
As I sat upon the trampoline in our backyard one fine spring day, I was listening to all the different sounds...the wind, the birds, the rustling of leaves from the trees. At the same time I was breathing in the fresh clean fragrance that the blooming flowers put off into the air. That moment was rather poetic to me...the sounds, the scents, the sights, and I felt like describing what I was feeling in a poetic form. So this poem is not only the result of that day's feelings, but also the pleasure that one derives from looking about him/her and seeing the wonderful creation of our wonderful Creator!
Just think of a master painter. How he knows just what colors to use in his painting. He knows how to blend the colors perfectly, and how to bring his picture alive so that the viewer feels like they are a part of it all. The brush is used to gently stroke the bright and beautiful colors onto the canvas, and in the end this once blank canvas and the plain colors are used to create a masterpiece. However, it isn't the colors that created such a masterpiece. No, not even the brush used to incorporate the colors could have made something so beautiful...but it is the hands that held the brush that created the masterpiece...the hand that gently guided it and mildly stroked it or splashed the color onto the once bare canvas.
This is exactly what our Creator did. He took His brush and painted in such detail, yes such meaning, a grand work of art, and was careful to not leave out one element that would enhance the beauty of His painting. In the end this masterpiece of a painting, which indeed is a masterpiece of new life itself, was given the title of "spring". Truly when it was finished... "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good..." Genesis 1:31
Beautiful Poem.... keep writing!
