David Malone http://golemxiv-credo.blogspot.com author of The Debt Generation, http://www.debtgeneration.org gives the opening of his talk in Lancaster on November 24th, 2010 . It includes a short introduction by Gina Dowding, Green Party parliamentary candidate for Lancaster and Fleetwood. David asks why there was never any real debate about bailing out the banks during the financial crisis and questions what the lack of such a debate says about the state of our democracy. The meeting was organised by North Lancashire Green Party.

  • I live in Ireland..everything that David has said in this video is true...my country has lost its independence due to banks and their greed....Irish taxpayers are now expected to pick up the bill for the greed and folly of the establishment few..democracy is dead in my country and trouble is going to follow.

  • i think anybody who seeks to understand this crisis would do well to watch richard wolff. 'capitalism hits the fan' is his most famous vid but, there is much more on his website rdwolff.com. i particularly enjoy his monthly 'global update' vids.

  • Very intriguing.
