Animatic I made of the scene in which
the Cyclops surprises Odysseus and his
men. Odysseus' men are gorging themselves on a roasting goat, but Odysseus senses something is amiss...

Music from The Village soundtrack and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

  • Now, I do know the storyline of Odysseus, and as far as continuity you seem pretty close. As with all of your work, great vision and direction, but I still wish to see some finished work. You have a really awesome style and I always like your choice of mx bed. PS: Did you do Foley work or did you find your sfx, and did you find vox or just vo yourself?

  • Thanks. I just found random sounds off of the internet and stuff. I tried to do some of my own foley work, but it didn't sound quite right.

  • You should really do the rest of it, this is the best I've seen the cyclops story. Awesome work.

  • hey, thanks! i'm slowly working on it some more - been doing concept pieces to flesh out how i want it to look and feel. i'd post a link, but i don't think youtube will let me.

  • Beautiful preproduction work, your storyboards are clear, tightly composed, and well presented. The subtle effects of the animatic enhance the storyboard, and don't drag it down.

    Well done.

  • lolz my class is just finishing the oddesy!

  • This is so cool, I love it.

  • Good video, good for learning how animatics are done.. check out by typing in The White Dragon animatic here on youtube...

  • This is a way better animatic, search for the title below and comment

    The White Dragon Animatic

  • @diddymuck never judge a book by its cover dumbass!

  • was expecting a waste of time, however was mistaken. Excellent pacing, use of pen, and the animation method was on a professional level. You can get a grant for this!!

  • Your style really has me at a loss for words. I just watched all your videos and I absolutely love them. Are you planning on doing any of these in full animations? You definitely have the skills. Keep up the awesome work ^_^
