These don't look like traditional bagpipes, and that's because they're not - they Uilleann bagpipes from Ireland, similar in appearance to Northumbrian bagpipes but with a very different sound.. or something.

  • A quick Google reveals us both to be right.

  • Nope Uilleann and Northumbrian are two completely different pipes. These are Uilleann pipes. Look up Andy May or Chris Ormston for good examples of Northumbrian pipes.

  • uh...actually these the are UILLEANN pipes of IRELAND. PLenty of uilleann pipers everywhere now it seems.
