  • Nope, that ain't the one. It's almost a ska verson. The one I'm looking for is more of a rock version, a bit slower, much less orchestrated, heavy on the sax. If I remember correctly, it was used on the break-in record, "RETURN OF ROBIN HOOD (PARTS 1 & 2)" by FRIAR TUCK AND THE BRINK FIVE. I'm very sure WButane has that posted here if you look him up or look up Dickie Goodman, it'll be in that lot. I'll check myself in a moment.

Nice song, though! Cool pictures, too!! Thanks LOADS anyway!!

  • @RedVynil ...i've listened to the snatch on "robin hood" and it's got me stumped, if i stumble upon it i'll be sure to pass it on!

  • i found my copy in the attic recently....great listening again....last listeninde too probably 40 years ago.......

  • @imanuglyfrogtoo Groovy, thanks!! The Friar Tuck record came out Aug. `61, so the William Tell Overture used on it had to have been released before that.

  • Ha! Fun stuff. Like Rossini gone surfing.

I guess these guys were the GWAR of 3 generation ago?
