  • basically the green berets were the only American soldiers who were kind to civilians in Vietnam, the regular GIs were complete assholes during the war that's why they lost

  • Actually, that's not why we lost but rather why we were unpopular and disliked. SF understood the need to win hearts and minds thru respect of culture and use of the local languages.

  • STRAC units were sent over by the Pentagon in 1962 to keep track of ARMY activities and project future troop strengths. This has always been classified. I guess I might get in trouble. Except they were never given veteran credit and cannot even join the VFW because of the lack of this data in their personal records. Oh, yes they were in combat and many were killed. They didn't even receive any campaign ribbons.

  • what sort of medal do you get for killing a child the Pram Cross

  • @RCRGreenberet About which comment?

  • I was in Group and saw too many times what you are talking about.

  • @lafemmedc2 Who wouldn't love Spetsnaz :)

  • @Crombo So I say yes to war when is necessery in face of those hyppies. They have no ideas of how build a futur and society. They just think and never act! Because they won't make the effort for others...

  • In 1970 people think about how we loss time, lifes(canadians and australians too) and money overthere... But look the vietnam today. One of the most stable country in this region.

  • @southphilly42 maybe in 1960

How do you know about now

  • @anibali7 You want or not... There will always be something bigger and misunderstood than you. :P

  • fine, you have right. But i don´t believe the cause of american forces loose the vietnam war was not the rol of GI, remember orange agent, b52, may lai, tortured vietnamese, corruption and misery en south vietanm, vietnam conflict was very similar to the iraq conflict.

A war for money and to conquer lands for the empire, thats empire is today more longer than usa, thats empire is today FMI and G8 with her subject. Sorry for my poor english, from argentina with best regards to your forces.

  • Very nice vintage footage. Counters the My Lai stereotype.

  • who the hell are you? how dare you talk some like that to my country and people?

  • Beautiful people- God help them in their continuing struggles for survival against the Vietnamese.
