Other than tons of basketball, there are some things that have helped over the years: soccer/ sprinting, hiking, biking, Air Alert. I would suggest setting aside a little time each week for weights and plyometrics. Start real basic then slowly increase what you do (and stay flexible). Don't go over 3 times a week.
