Enzo started riding the bus to school today. He has been fascinated with the school buses since he started school. For a week or so before the Winter Break, Enzo had been asking to ride the bus. He qualifies for a special needs bus and this simplifies the process of getting him to school. It's hard to let go of taking him to and from school myself, but the bus ensures that Zo can get to school every day, even if we have other transportation issues. We are very grateful for the assistance. Thank you PISD!
You can't really see Enzo through the tinted glass, but you can sort of see the woman who is trying to get his harness adjusted. Initially, Zo was not terribly thrilled to get on the bus and said, "Mama, you want come with me?" AWWWWWW. I so wanted to get on that bus with him, but I knew that would make his transition much harder. When I told Enzo that I couldn't come with him, he went with the nice bus lady without any protest.
Sorry for the bad video quality, plus when I was talking with my son, the bus driver said something, so I'm just sort of talking to him & Enzo at the same time, while waving to Zo. The camera is shaky and this really is a poor-quality video, it's important to document this milestone for Zo. He has made so much progress since he started school in April.
