I read the same book about 10 times when I was 30. I pondered the "secret " just like you and I came to the same conclusions back that you have come to. But its not "you are what you think about" or "acting upon your ideas" don't get me wrong those things are important but he mentioned those in the book so they are not the secret. He said it will only come to you when you are ready. It took me 18 years after reading the book (I'm now 48) and I think I finally figured it out.

@nblfyb Remember in the book when they told Henry Ford that he would not be able to build a car for the masses? Remember the little girl of the slave owner that wanted money for her Mother and went to the slave owner? Or when they told Edison his invention would be a flop? What did they all have in common? It took me losing my job of 25 years and alot of trouble from so called friends to figure this out. It's ANGER. You have to get angry enough to demand the best from yourself.

@jeffpolara Right. It's like during a fight the most angry guy usually wins. The new age movement want you to believe that all anger is bad but thats not true. Rightious anger is good/ Jesus was angry when he knocked over the money changers tables in the Temple. When your rightiously angry you will not let anything get in your way of success. Negative anger IS bad and should be avoided but rightious anger is empowering. Not many people realize this. I only found 1 you tube video adressing this.

you become what you think about most of the time! Your thoughts control who and what you become.

Surround yourself with things that pertain to your goal. Find people that have a common goal theres were the mastermind group comes. When you think about your goal all the time it plants a seed that grows. You will see opportunity that was there before but now your aware its there.
