Gives the darts a few feet of extra range, compatibility with any NERF gun (exception: barricade, because it uses a flywheel launch system too large and possibly the new dart blasters with a integrated clip/magazine) fairly low cost mod. Note: this is my first video, and be careful with your super glue. I tested the range of a dart with a straw going all the way through the dart, and the range seemed to be slightly bettter but less accurate than the darts I modified here.
Super glue is an eye irritant.
Materials: Clip System Nerf Darts, Straws, Super glue(or similar) or a Hot glue gun, a pair of scissors, disposable gloves (optional), scratch paper (to catch dropped super glue)
Steps:
Try to poke a hole in your super glue first so you will not have to do it later
Step 1: Pull the dart head off the dart, cut the dart innards out, with about 1cm left on the dart head
Step 2: Get a straw, take it, twist, and push it into the dart head almost all the way, then use the scissors and cut it about one and a half inches from the dart head
Step 3: Push the dart head (with part of the straw attached) into the headless dart part way and use your super glue (or similar type) on the bottom of the dart head and then push it in all the way.
Step 3: Wait for the glue to dry. You are done!
Step 4: (optional) Mark your modified darts.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage caused by super glue or modified darts, please keep me out of your legal issues.
Note: May or may not work with hot glue instead. I have not tested it yet.
Here is another great dart mod:
