both are very different games....If you are more into dialogues and rpg-esh thingies you should definetly go for Fallout 3. If you more stealth-shooter based you go for chronicles...
Fallout 3 is a non-lineair game, but chronicles is....On the other hand the main quest of fallout 3 is really short and you have 2 games for the price of 1 in riddick.
