This Civil 3D video describes Performance and how it relates to: RAM, virtual memory, 32 bit and 64 bit applications and operating systems (Windows XP and Vista). Well continue with some performace enhancing recommendations and end with some frequently asked questions such as:
When will we have a 64 bit version of Civil 3D?
Is Windows 7 supported?
I am upgrading, what should I buy?
Task Manager never shows Civil 3D using all the available RAM, why not?
As Civil 3D gets the most out of a great computer, get the most out of C3D with the best training. Send me a message and I will share more information with you.

Good video but... As of August 11th (the posting date) Windows 7 is no longer in Beta. I find it hard to believe that AutoDesk cannot get it's hands on the final product...

Good video, but too limited in scope.
I would really like a prioritized list, for Civil 3D specifically. Something like:
For the best bang for the buck improve following in order:
1. Use 64 bit OS??
2. Max out RAM to 8 GB if possible??
3. Video Card??
4. Processor Speed??
5. Multiple Processors??
6. Other??
Note that I have no idea if the above is the right order, but it troubles me that no one including Civil 3D tech support has been able to give me such a listing.

I concur on processors and performance, and also for my wishlist is that why doesn't Civil 3D use CUDA like some of the other Autodesk's products do to get around this memory restriction and gain more speed on those area that those who use this product know where it is very slow (EG: picking points or viewports in paperspace moving) alias parallel processing. It seems to have a huge potential to diversify the load of Civil 3D around.

Very interesting video! I would have also liked to see more on the role of the different processors on the market, and Autodesk's feeling along those lines as it pertains to C3D. Perhaps in a future video...
