@viago2 Don't be so dense: this is the original composition, as written by Orlando Gibbons (although I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard of him, looking at your comment), and first published in 1612. People have liked this work enough for it to last 400 years, so he must have done something right. You evidently know nothing about late Renaissance music. This performance is pretty decent, actually. Whilst there areas which could be improved, it is certainly not a 'cacophony'.

cant understand a bloody word of it. these arrangers miss the bloody point of a song. its much easier to understand johnny bloody rotten for gods sake
why oh why do you have people singing different words at the same time? it is a bloody cacophony.

Beautiful :) I sang this a year ago in my choir, and it was the most beautiful piece I have ever had the priviledge to sing. Kudos to you!
