Minimalist music, inncssant repetition of short musical motives. Some people may not appreciate it as much because they don't know what minimalist music is. I appreciate it because I've learned about minimalism and I think the reason why some don't appreciate it as much is because it's not the kind of thing that's in the top charts. But if it was, we would get used to it and eventually start to like it.
I think people find it hard to like something they've never been exposed to.
