This is some footage of our trip to Algonquin in 2007 taking a few rapids on the Petawawa River. It looks amateur and it is, but this was very dangerous and we were still at least two days away from civilization.

  • Nice clip....

I'm heading to Ralph Bice lake in Algonquin in a few weeks and that lake is the headwaters or the beginning of the Petawawa River which flows east from there..... I'd like to see some rapids, how far down the river were you?? much appreciated...

  • @grizzlyrafting : Ralph Bice is on the west side. Where we were in the video is on the east side of Algonquin where the river is a long stretch. If memory serves, about half a day out of Radiant Lake.

  • Sorry lads....these "rapids" are like the bunny hill for skiers. May I suggest you try shooting the Ottawa River Rapids for real excitement?

  • where is the pettawa river in algonquin park?

  • Great video... best part was the final credit.
