A University of Missouri researcher worked with international teams to sequence the
bovine genome. Jerry Taylor, professor and Wurdack endowed chair in animal science at MU, developed a genetic identification tool from this research that will impact the cattle industry. Researchers say this may lead to improvements in cattle production and better steaks.
