@helierguy Sometime in the 70's, at the Academy Awards TV broadcast, it was announced that Mae was in the audience. She took the spotlight, gestured (down) to the muscle man on each side of her, and stood up to a lenghthy applause.
I check here periodically to see if anyone has uploaded it. It would be great to see again.

Nobody can agree as to who's more annoying, and trying, to a sane person's sensibilities: Jimmy Steward, Mae West, or Katharine Hepburn? The worst-case scenario would be: you're locked in a room with these blithering idiots and your rifle contains only 2 bullets.

I wish she was still around but she'd be 117!!!! l do miss here though...... we just don't have anybody like her around these days..........
