You remember my video "Over the Hills and Far Away"?
This is a similar song called Twa (Two) Recruiting Sergeants by Adam Raeburn. It's a scottish tune from the early napoleonic era (1800 or earlier). It was the 'theme' of the scottish 42nd Regiment of Foot. The 42nd was a Highland-Infantry elite, nicknamed the 'Black Watch'.
NOTE: There's a Newfoundland 'Blue Puttees'-Version of this song called 'Recruiting Sargeant'. It based on this tune. It has similar lyrics and the same melody. Soon I'll make a video about the 'Blue Puttees' in Napoleonic Era, but, sorry, not historical correct - The Newfoundland Militia fought against America in the war of 1812 and in Napoleon: Total War, Newfoundland and America are not integrated. It'll be about the Militia of all nations in NTW instead.

Lyrics
______
"Twa recruiting sergeants came frae the Black Watch
Through markets and fairs, some recruits for to catch.
But all they enlisted was forty and twa
Sae, list my bonnie laddie and come awa with me
Chorus:
And it's over the mountain and over the Main,
Through Gibralter, to France and Spain.
Pit a feather tae your bonnet, and a kilt aboon your knee,
Enlist my bonnie laddie and come awa with me.
Oh laddie ye dinna ken the danger that yer in.
If yer horses was to gleg, or yer owsen was to rin,
That greedy ole farmer, he wouldna pay yer fee.
Sae list my bonnie laddie and come awa with me
Chorus
And its into the barn and out o' the byre,
That greedy ole farmer thinks ye never will tire.
It's a slavery job of low degree.
Sae list my bonnie laddie and come awa with me
Chorus
Yeah well laddie, do you have a sweetheart at home
Ye'll easily get rid of that ill-spun yarn
Twa rattles on the drum, and that'll set ye'free
Sae list my bonnie laddie and come awa with me"
Chorus
LOL, why didint you use the Black Unit for a song about the Black Watch?

@24michiganironbrigad
Because the Black Watch worn red uniforms like the other british regiments.
The Irish Connaught Rangers didn't wear green either ;-)
With Black Unit I suppose you mean the Black Brunswicker Regiment, they weren't british, that was a german volunteer regiment.

@macewindu63 No mate, I know I am talking about the 42nd. Royal Highland Regiment of Foot. He is using basic Highland line for most of the pictures. I dunno where you thought of Brunswickers. they came from ummmmm Brunswick (Central Germany) and served with UK forces through Spain and Waterloo.

@24michiganironbrigad
Because you said "Black unit" - It was a misunderstanding. Yes, unfortunately I messed up the units during filming this video. It was captured during some online battles, I had to take some normal highland regiments too, and I messed them up.
