  • My Grandfather fought at Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa in the USMC. I try to ask him of his experiences there but he won't talk much about them.... Before his ship landed at Siapan a Japanese Kamikazi hit his ship. The head of the Kamikazi rolled across the deck and landed by his foot. He took the headband off the decapitated head and kicked it overboard. I have it framed. No Joke.

  • I was born in Saipan and lived there for 9 years.

And when I came to Canada.

not one single person ever heard of it.

  • I proudly recite on Saipan. I hope to one day join the USMC which is the branch that fought for this island.

  • respect to all soldiers, no matter what side or country they align themselves with.

  • My grandfather fought in Saipan. He was telling my older brother one day when he and his buddy were checking for civilians in civilian houses, they found a whole platoon of japanese soldiers and his buddy shot them all down.

  • My dad was in the Navy. Landing Craft Infantry-Rocket. In other words, LCI-R. He rocketed the beaches and beyond before the Marines landed. His ship was the 462. They got close,,,real close, to do their job. Great video.

  • @herrnhutmissionary canada, or Saipan?

'cause this is how it's gonna go

Someone is gonna ask where you're born

    You say United states

They then ask WHERE in united states

You then have to explain about Saipan

    Happens all the time -_-
