Noting her city's declining standards, Sarah, 16-year-old Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leader of Colombo, Sri Lanka, developed "BUMP IT OFF! Planet Earth," a community service project designed to address and meet the UN Millennium Development Goals and improve the health standards of poor Sri Lankan communities. She worked with the Minister of Housing and the Ministry of Health to provide free medicine and 25 doctors to the community, offering general check-ups and free nutritional supplements for more than 700 children in just half of a day. Her project is currently working to provide an efficient and sustainable plumbing system for communities in need, helping achieve the projects long-term sanitation goals.
This Public Service Announcement, directed by award-winning director Rick Fernandes, was written and filmed at the 2008 Three Dot Dash® Just Peace Summit in New York City, and helps Sarah spread her message to millions around the world.
Three Dot Dash is a yearlong global initiative of the We Are Family Foundation® that supports teen leaders around the world who are doing projects that help promote a more peaceful society by addressing one or more basic human needs:

Every year, Three Dot Dash provides Global Teen Leaders (GTLs) with the tools to expand their impact and learn how to better tell their stories from prominent leaders in order to gain media attention and public support for their projects.
