Second part in the Android Themes series. This time we are looking at changing the statusbar on the phone.
Please note this is part 1 of 2 on changing the Statusbar.
We will be changing the colour of the bar and the text color displayed on the bar =o)
Do note you need to have a rooted Android phone for this to work and must have the Android SDK installed.

@demonLXK its a program and you need to donwload it to use that command in command prompt

@legamania its a program you use through command prompt so you need to donwload it

@Wapalize Haven't tried this with Gingerbread but if the same files exist and look roughly the same can't see a reason why it wouldn't

@aeopath I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work, if the same files are there then it shouldn't be a problem, take a backup and give it a go =o)

I was following your tutoral pretty well until you opened the framework-res.apk folder and opened drawable, instead of drawable-hdpi.

@wncoulte some newer phones and firmware's have the files in different folders such as drawable-mdpi so just find the png in one of the drawable folders.
