  • I will listen to more people like you when you can get your grammar correct.

I feel sorry for those who are so blinkered by indoctrination, that they cannot see the facts right there in front of their eyes. Geology is the study of this wonderful planet that we have evolved on. In the past I have put my efforts into reading the bible, and I quite enjoyed it. Needs a bit of better editing in parts (so much of the story is left out).

  • I watch the news from time to time, although I find that the media only broadcasts what will show them in a good light to the governments, and this makes me depressed - freedom of speech dictates that media should be allowed to publish/broadcast whatever they want.

I take offense to people who believe that just because I am a scientist, I cannot believe in a form higher power (yes, I am agnostic).

  • Christians are the worst kind of people for not respecting others' beliefs, in my experience. You lot need to grow a brain cell and learn to see the world as it is, and not as you want it to be.

  • Also, enjoyed the pictures.

  • Thanks :) I'll be putting more up soon. I have quite a few courtesy of field trips :). What really got my back up were the professors who were quoted out of context

  • They sure do believe in Geologists when we have to go find oil for them huh?

  • Cool response. Am also a geologist. The problem is, when people condition themselves to beleive something no matter what people tell them, then there is no longer any point in arguing. I dont mind their video or faith, but their claims of science without any facts are annoying. Have a good one, enjoy the geology.

  • earthage.org/EarthOldorYoung/scientific_evidence_for_a_worldwide_flood.htm just put a real .

  • if only we could all keep open minds.... i mean there's no point in arguing with the ignorant or people who will not accept anything but what they have grown up with. i even try to keep up with the truthism lot who beleive there is a sun inside our planet and that our planet is a hollow shell. i am a geologist and yet i will still try to see their point of veiw. how many scientist were laughed at before they were found to be partly or completely correct

  • @oicurageologist I agree that many people are quite venomous at christians especially those christians who are proactive with creation science. truth is though, that I think creation science poses a real threat as a lobby against credible research and scientific progress. Sometimes you have to show your teeth to defend truth from the irrational. So in all fairness, fuck them.

  • sexy, what sexy woman.

  • @pippyia1 What a wretched "argument" from an obvious bigot but not an untypical one for a creationist in other words: "believe in the biblical account of The Flood in spite of all the evidence to the contary or you're going straight to he'll (besides my preacher needs a new limo)"

  • Alright more geologist on Youtube taking on creationist. Field photos of Australia look great. I hope to make it down there one day.

I am posting other videos as well, you can find them in my left-hand column under my "Must See Videos," and then under "Scientific Observations." I will be adding videos over the next few days... I will post "(geology)" in the one's that may be more in your field.

  • As a Geologist who is married into a very Christian Family, I find that I am constantly fighting the urge to ask where the information they say is coming from. I think what most people are forgetting is that EVERYONE has a belief system, and all belief systems are flawed in some way. No one has the right answer, however, everyone thinks they do. Consider this, don't constantly challenge Christians, question them, let them explain themselves into a corner. Then gently help them out with reason

  • And when we need to warn them about mass catastrophes from tectonic activity right?
