I'm done with the Seroquel XR and on to Abilify. Five nights in... so far, so good.

i agree, what is normal? there is no normal IMO.. if you ask me, do/take what makes you happy :) ECT worked wonders for me, ive only had 3 sessions and i go in for my next 3 this week. My family absolutley thinks its absurd but i FELT different, calm, no depression. YAY

By the way, the low dose of Abilify is 5 mg - - and 15 mg is not really considered a low dose any longer - - now that doctors know more about this drug.

@electroboyla Thanks for the info re: Abilify. I found out on my own that there are several lower doses of Abilify, which doesn't say much about my doctor, does it. I'll have a look at your Abilify Kills vid!

these pill companies just want the money, just like the oil companies. i tossed my abilify out. i would rather become an alcoholic. helps better.

I was on 300 some mg of Effexer XR and on numerous other drugs for anxiety. When you said you don't know what it feels to be normal it may be becuase of the effexer. I felt like i was in a tunnel and it was horrid not to mention the withdrawl. I'm now in first week of abilify only 5 mg and it helps, but the dorwseness is awfull. I don't want to scare you becuase everyone reacts different to drugs. Exp. 100 people take abilify how many people will have the same thought about it?brain chemistry to

Abilify has a 2 MG dosage now. I advise anyone taking to be careful, start low and gradually increase the dosage if you need to at all, This stuff is strong and I am not saying that's good or bad but you does have side effects.If I had to say I was for or against it I would say I am against it. Every time I took it I saw good effects and bad. I don't know which was worse.

ABILIFY: Some side effects include uncontrollable twitching or jerking movements, tremors, seizure, and weight gain. Some people also feel dizzy, especially when getting up from a lying or sitting position, or may experience a fast heart rate. Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (combination of fever, muscle stiffness, faster breathing, sweating, reduced consciousness, and sudden change in blood pressure and heart rate) is another side effect as is suicidal thinking and suicide attempts.

i stopped taking abilify because it made me feel all spaced out and passive.
