Mr. Wright looks like Mr. Wright in Sim City (character used in the SNES version), who is based off the creator of the Sim games.

Link's Awakening was my debut to The Legend Of Zelda, and I really have to agree that it influenced games to come greatly. I know exactly what Axle's talking about when he mentions the feeling that LA is like a 2D OOT. I experienced the very same feeling of deja vu when I first played Ocarina, and again when I later revisited Link's Awakening. Also, still to this day, I'm always thrown when I hear the LOZ theme because my first experience with it was LA's slightly altered version.
