And honestly, what's wrong with finding oppositional evidence? That's what the scientific community is about. Look at Newton's particle theory of light, and how Einstein and others opposed it and won..despite the fact that Newton is a father of modern science.

In the other hand, people in power (states and religion) does not want dissent to be heard. You are no different than the people who wanted Galileo charged with Heresy.
