Chinese police stop animal rescuers from helping cats

As concerned aninal lovers begin to break open crates stuffed full of cats, many pets with collars, trapped for shipment from Shanghai area to Guangdong for food and fur, police cordon off area and detain locals. Video shot Saturday 30 Aug. 2008.

@sega31098 I went hunting with my American friend, a real American, white boy. He shoot two ducks. They were still alive and he throw him at the back of his pick up truck. When we got home the ducks were still alive as he pluck the feathers, then dip them with boiling water and that's how the ducks died. Isn't that animal cruelty? I should have made a video and post it here in Youtube "American cruelty. But I guess that's none of my business. I come from a civilized country and I respect others.

Why they don't help chickens that are transported in boxes like that? Or fishes that are pricked with fish-hooks and asphyxiated painfully? Are the cats better than the chickens or the fishes?

@smileyfac Cows plow fieds, carry heavy loads, recognize only his master's voice. Pig are smarter, have sharper smelling sense and could be more useful if only given the chance. All animals love their young and feel pain. Just because dogs lick your pussy doesn't make them exempt from the rest of the animals, it's a matter of choice. You are sick to believe that your culture is superior and anything inconsistent are wrong.

maybe people dont help chickens and fish because they are not domestic animals, have you ever heard " dog saved a mans life" or "dog is loyal friend" or 'dogs are leading blind people" and there is one more thing you man withots a soul ; chickens,cows, pigs are killed on the most quickest way, maybe bullet in the head would be more human then puttin cat in the boiling water you sickcunt! and skinning poor doogs ALIVE! Chickens in USA are caged tighter than this during transport, same thing for Racing Horse, always seen them in the road from the farm in California. So it's only cruelty when they are dogs inside?

As a Filipino American it boils my blood to see cultural bullying. My cousins in the PHilippines chose to eat dog meat and they are entitled to their choices free from Harrasment and humiliation by westerners.

A dog's life is not unfairly higher than a pig just because it wags its tail.

@Vekhematu Your attempt at comparing quantity doesn't satisfy the logic of morality. 10 chicken meat probably compared to a small dog meat so that's not the point.

The value of life is measured individually and for that a Cows life isn't lower than a dog's life, they both love their young and feel pain.

Kessing originally written in the early 1930's says Indon and Malay settled in what is now Philippines domesticated dog as Farm guards and as Food sources. Later dog meat has give way to other food except in the Northern Regions where it's still big. In the plains recent survey during the Senate Hearing estimated 40% of present day Filipinos eat dog meat for reason of Poverty, Tradition or Taste.
