  • Delightful film of my grandmother Meiko performing Japanese Tea Ceremony. She was very proud to have been the first British woman to have been taught the ritual while she was living in Kyoto during the early and middle 1920's. Always gracious, always ahead of her time. May her memory be eternal.

  • Thank you for posting this. Meiko was my great grandmother and was quite senile by the time I was old enough to interact with her, so I don't have a lot of memories of her. This really made my day.
