On January 27, 2007, after 500,000 marched against war and occupation in Washington, DC, Anthony Arnove, author of Iraq: the Logic of Withdrawal, spoke at the Bus Boys and Poets cafe, with Kelly Dougherty, co-founder of Iraq Veterans Against War.

Yeah, but (also) I think it't the putting of material, and dubious material concerns before life that is really starting to piss everybody off and get them asking if the principals the world is run on are really valid at all.

Unfortunately, the government will never remove our presence from the middle east until our economy is not based on the petro-dollar cycle. It's not about the oil, or the money to be made from the extortion of that country and its unfortunate people. It's about protecting the American economy which is mated with the circulation of oil throughout the world. Investigate that truth, that all oil in the world is sold in US currency, and you find the source of the real evil.

"all the reasons why they say we should stay in iraq, are almost as bogus as the reasons for why we got in there,in the first place" paraphrased.
