LSD did ruin Syd he did too much too fast too young. What he did before he lost himself was amazing and original. LSD played a big role in what he was able to create (in a good way) its sad to see what that drug can do when it's abused.

@shankar313 and are you kidding me. Pink Floyd is, to say the last, the grates rock band in history. They ain't looking for nothing. In their own words, "everybody's looking for something they say, I get my kicks on the way" (that's from the track "The gold it's in the..." from their 1972 album "Obscured by the Clouds", a haunting album with a humorous touch that explores the theme of death.)

@shankar313 LSD enhanced Syd's peripheral vision, entertaining his third eye, and opening the doors of perception broad and wide for him. He was a mad chap with a weird and enticing point of view. 'Drugs' are what you do with them, and not 'bad' on their own- just like with anything else. Syd traveled dreamy landscapes of a bizarre and surreal nature of which we only get a glimpse of from his lyrics. He was both brave and creative- both virtues that come at a cost.

@mahoela they only have 1 true love song which is on the live from san francisco video and from the album atom heart mother, technically I don't believe this is a love song but it's my personal favorite and is a love song in my eyes
