They really dont have as much talent as people perceive them to have. Their riffs havent evolved over their careers, the vocalist has no real talent, he just yells without any strain. Their drumming is good, but that all ill give. As compared to other bands, Slayer gets too much recognition.

@Havoc1025 I honestly don't see how Slayer sucks, but we all have our own opinions. The Black Dahlia Murder is absolutely amazing though.

Slayer sucks; over-hyped band with too little talent to back it up. There are much better thrash bands out there: Sodom, Destruction, Exodus, hellhammer and many others. Bands like At the Gates need to be more well known, since everyone thats mainstream only looks at Arch Enemy or In flames when the think of melodic death metal.

@Havoc1025 YES. TBDM is beyond amazing. A lot of people probably won't even give them a chance though, they are extremely talented and unique. Drums are probably the best metal drumming I've ever heard, even better than Slayer imo.

I love this band and all they did for the melodeath scene. Anyone hear of the band black Dahlia Murder, cause they have riff structures very similar to this, and im very glad they are carrying on this style after At the Gate's untimely break-up.
