Un estilo de Kung Fu muy parecido al Choy Lee Fut

always great to see the traditional arts being performed with such skill. these are the roots of all modern martial arts and yet still have much to teach us all. it's a shame that the folks here can't just watch and try to learn without being disrespectful. if this doesn't appeal to you then quietly move on. but remember there is nothing you see in mma fights or even on the street that doesn't have roots in a traditional form. closed mouth, open ears= knowledge

@hopgarkungfu So he used the twirling arm technique in real life? Man, thats awesome. You wouldn't happen to have any footage lying around would you? That would be awesome. You too man, and keep posting videos for those of us that are interested in this awesome art.
At 1:15, and 1:28, do people really just stand there and let the arm be twirled?

@crazedjustice888 Of course not. Nor do people stand there and let themselves get jabbed or trapped with sticky hands. What is shown is not so much a technique to apply, but rather a training maneuver. The maneuver is a movement and does not concern whether the opponent's arm is there or not there. The arm could just as well have been the head being pulled. The movement could just as well have been a hook coming off at the end.

@hopgarkungfu Oh, I understand, but still why train that way if it will never happen? Training should be done to benefit the student. Sticky hands doesn't necessarily have combat usage, it is taught to be more sensitive to movement helping you when you bridge your opponent and to be able to respond accordingly. I love sticky hands for that. What I am saying is that this action is happening in an application show, not training maneuvers.

@crazedjustice888 I did not mention "sticky hands", for which I assume your refer to a wing chun system training practice. It is good that you have benefited from sticky hands practice. There are many good people and styles in practice these days. This is the Hop Gar of Sifu Ku which I present as a view into his teachings. To answer your question more to what you are saying, it would be helpful to know more of what have studied.

@hopgarkungfu In your first response to me, you mentioned sticky hands. Were you referring to wing chun training system or something different? I don't really have a question, just wondering why something is done that will never happen in application. Thats all.

@crazedjustice888 You are correct. I did first mention "sticky hands", but I was referring to a general class of something. When the energy in a feed or strike is right for that move, I have seen Sifu Ku use that very move as you saw it. My best to you and Keep up your kung fu.
