could it also be that his "northern " accent is a bit faded is perhaps due to him not living there in quite a while and at least I noticed when you move to another place where the accents are radically different, i.e England to the US your accent does change, Ive lived in the UK for 8 years and I grew up in Canada, and my accent has changed a bit since I moved here

morrissey seems to get along better with russell than most people...

Mozzer's voice is great but I find it hard to class as a Northern accent. I am aware he is a Manchester boy but his heavy Irish family connections allow his voice to mellow somewhat thus removing the Northern edge.

Still, a beautiful voice.

a lot of the reason why he doesn't sound northern as much is because he pronounces his words correctly and uses correct grammatical sentences.

but he still says some words different which make him sound northern

yes it was amazing, cant believe no other stations have picked him up except the one talksport show
