  • I firmly believe that it is theoretically possible for humanity to come up with the necessary funds to effectively invest in turning deserts green as perhaps half of our response to climate change:

  • After teaching English in Quito, Ecuador for over a year I returned home to Canada determined to become more socially active so I ran for public office three times as an independent to attempt to make people more aware of the alternatives available to us if we had greater understanding of monetary policy.

  • @AlMayer1100 Im all for digging channels. How do you stop the dunes from filling the channels instead of water? You'd have to use some sort of bacteria that can calcify the sand.

  • A quite easy way for greening the deserts would be to dig channels from the mediterranien sea to the depressions in the sahara. This will not only lower global sea levels but also create a water depot for inner-sahara rainfall. Within two decades, the sahara will be green again. In the past, the sahara was green (see ancient egyptian). There are still crocodiles living in the sahara. So there was once a waterway to the nile or the sea.
