@76immy hmm, so why umar and abu bakr and aisa all wanted to be buried close to grave of rasul? Don't throw the baby out with the bath water, you might end up throwing away the sahabah too. If there was no barakah or significance why did they care?

subhanAllah so much fitna going on in the comments of this video (and other such videos). sometimes it's better to keep our mouths shut and not comment. and if you must say something then at least have the courtesy to have some Islamic adhaab! subhanAllah people calling others mushrikeen and probably even kuffar - you really think this is good adhaab? if you do, then go back to your studies cos you clearly haven't learnt enough!

tasawuf just like all the other sciences has an unbroken chain of transmission that goes back to the prophet(saw).the tariqas all go back to the prophet. mostly through allah. some through abu bakr some through umer ibn al kattab but mostly through ali. the awliya are the spiritual guides and leaders of this ummah. the adals the qutb the ghaus are all mentioned in hadith. the awliya of allah are mentioned in the hadith.

worshipping graves is shirk. asking for intercession is not shirk. telling somebody to make du'a for you is not shirk. asking someone who's "dead" to make du'a for you is not shirk. there is no daleel for this whatsoever. the qur'an says every soul shall taste mawt. not death. death is not mawt. death means the end. the qur'an says do not think of those slain in the way of allah as dead.
