  • @JudgeMazza good points bro.

  • @JudgeMazza or was, now it is Bolvar.

  • @RepublicanNatio Oh no I have, I've leveled through Howling Fjord about 7 times. The Lich king WAS once a Shaman, the Lich King is composed of 2 different entities; Nerzhul, and Arthas, Both ARE the Lich King, it's just that, Arthas is the dominant personality within the lich king.

  • @RepublicanNatio Eveything is Canon until it's proven otherwise, For example, the Warcraft 3 manuel was canon, until metzen changed the story for whatever reason, about the Eredar and Sargaras.

The problem here is, the book does not contradict anything, hence it is canon.

  • @RepublicanNatio The book did not say Ner'zhul was killed. the book depicted a dream sequence in which Srthas stabbed Ner'zhul. A dream sequence, representing the mind of the Lich king. See the books wasn't wrong, it's your interpretation.

  • @JudgeMazza 2:01 - 2:04 gee theres a double voice. Hmm i wonder whos voices they belong too? :>

  • @JudgeMazza So yes its definitely a retcon is the wow developers state the complete opposite of what the book says. Wow devs word > authors word. They will always have the final say.

  • @JudgeMazza game canon > book canon. As i said earlier, the book said ner'zhul was killed. he was clearly not killed, the wow developers even said it, and no official blizzard official has ever stated that ner'zhul was being suppressed by ''evil'' arthas. So the argument is bunk. The Lich king was arthas/ner'zhul up until we killed them in ICC.

  • @JudgeMazza "...yeah, the novels are pretty much considered canon, ahm, the funny thing is that some things are? less canon, you know, but we shoot for canon... that's a strange statement... we shoot for canon... but yeah, typically the characters in novels are canon."-Chris Metzen the Vice President of Creative Development

Notice the ''less cannon'' part. When the game and books contradict each other, the game takes precedence in cannon. Thats exactly what that means.

  • @JudgeMazza Youve obviously never done the alliance side quests in howling fjord where the lich king clearly states that he was once a shaman (ner'zhul). And no not all wow books are cannon, let me get a quote by metzen one sec.
