genius is a strong word that I don't like to use lightly, but this man has an obvious passion for his trade that's nearly unseen these days; a true modern day hobo bard right there and fuck if we don't need more people as into it as he is.

wow! bet you were well chuffed getting seasick steve to try out your very own 1 string-he seems like a nice guy in the vid.cheers for posting.

@TheVintageSound1 Actually, as It's only got one string and is played with a slide, it's more akin to a Diddley Bo, but with a sound box...that, and it's not made out of a cigar box! Haha
-
that's not a diddley bow it's a cigar box guitar
-
@macheteblack Thing is, he used to be homeless for pretty much most of his life. He's a very humble man and clearly doesn't let fame or money go to his head.
-
@bazza667 ...dude...ive seen him pluck 6 hairs from around his anus nail them to a wash board and play "whilst me guitar gently weeps" in D minor....whilst Chuck Norris kept tempo on a bongo made from the scrotum of a Komodo dragon...

i love this guy! come on he was homeless and besides this little wonder haha he also made his own electric guitar out of a hubcap broom handle rusty bolts scrap wire and other junk and ill tell you it sounds amazing!! it has a real character unlike any other guitar! :)

@protomodelsdotcom - you're right, he can make music out of absolutely anything. I once saw him crank out some sweet, sweet tunes with a pair of used tea bags and a feather duster.

JimHxn, you got to play the trance wonder? Help me out here. I know the tuning is approximately open g, but the strings are in the wrong places, yeah? What gauge strings are in what places on the wonder? If you happened to notice. Cheers.
(great vid & diddley bow, btw)

Ok, these are the strings, lowest to highest. The notes are 'gauge - position (in standard tuning) - tuning'
E - A - G
D - G - G (8va)
G - B - B
Hope this helps :D
