  • Beautiful work! Makes me want to polish some old metal, I actually have roughe and a cloth wheel, just never tried it.

  • Man you could pollish a turd with this stuff...

  • LOL! Even with the right tools, it still comes down to good old elbow grease. I always have a small stick of rouge in the toolbox, but what he has is the giant economy size. I imagine you burn up a lot of it on such a project.

  • "still comes down to good old elbow grease"

    Ya my arms really hurt today. All the way up to my shoulders...

  • WOW!!!! okay, so what is the wheel? and where can I get it? What is the polish? and where can I get it? Do you polish the inside of the window too? Great work!!!!! 5 stars!!!

  • Just a bench grinder, $150 at any tool store but you also need the stand that moves around so you can get all the way around it with the bigger windows. The wheels are just polishing wheels. The one on the right is a "cutting" wheel and the one on the left is final polish wheel. The cutting wheel is just harder for really getting into the metal. No I don't polish the inside. Just clean it. You can get the Rouge polish sticks at a Polishing Supply place or a Detail Shop. Look online also.

  • It pays to have the right tools. }:-}

  • "Sometimes having beer is the only way to stay motivated enough to polish."

    Yes. And it might not hurt so bad when you are finished!

  • Sometimes having beer is the only way to stay motivated enough to polish.

    Gotta wash down the roudge compound down somehow....If you polish long enough you will be covered in that stuff.

    Good job on the windows,Having them shine like new is worth the tired arms.
