Radeon 5570 - Crysis DX10 Test

"But can it run Crysis?"

This is a test with the Radeon 5570 (1 gig) on Crysis. With this game, you won't be able to handle 1080p or higher with the said video card. However, the card handles the lower resolutions just fine without cutting out on details.

Graphics settings are all set to Very High (Maxed). Tested on a Q8200 processor with 6 gigs of DDR3 RAM. The 5570 is a 1 gig by Sapphire, NOT overclocked.

This video was made in 1024x768 resolution. With the same settings, this card can handle about 1280x720 before it starts slowing down (below 20-25 fps). Lowering shadows, however, delivers higher resolutions without sacrificing too much quality.

Everyone who says this card can handle Crysis at full settings with smooth FPS, is either bullshitting or just plain mixed up. Don't mislead people.

@TheYTChronicles It depends on expectations. The card will not handle 1980x1080 with Crysis. The card will also not crank out full Anti Aliasing at acceptable frame-rate levels. With Crysis, it could just barely pump out HD if you cut shadows. It's not a bad card if you consider how much power draw it has and how cool it is. I'm not surprised that it can handle Crysis 2 at a much more acceptable level (though it's less hardware demanding). It's not for full blown gaming but great for some.

@asdzxcvbqwerty nah. Your better off buying a mid-high, or a high-end card; like a 6850 and higher. You'd have as much horse power as four of these, at less power, less room, less money, and less headaches.

5570 is a good card to game. but not the best one. its a nice one if u have a good budget.

dude if you turn of anit-aliasing you'll get way more frames per second..

@Tokman3 i dunno i disagree. for its price, size, and sound it exceeded my expectations. I can currently run Crysis 2 at 1600x900 on a 26" LCD with high video settings and it runs very smooth. ive never heard a peep from this card and has never overheated. if any card was considered a ninja, it would be the 5570
