John Smith Hurt, better known as Mississippi John Hurt (July 3, 1893 or March 8, 1892 — November 2, 1966) was an influential country blues singer and guitarist. He sang in a loud whisper, to a melodious finger-picked guitar accompaniment. The "Mississippi" tag was added by Okeh Records as a sales gimmick

@youthomap thanks :) im actually doing things hiphop and rap just havent had the time to put my music up and we actually have a museum of all his stuff in grenada mississippi. Its pretty cool

@RealAugust6 Your grandpa?! I take off my hat! Hope you're doing some blues yourself. I am playing on a 70 year old guitarr myself, inherited from an uncle. Some says guitars does not get better as violins by age. But I do think so.
