Sandy Austin is a Native American woman living with her son on the Paiute-Shoshone Reservation outside Fallon Nevada. Her health is the most important thing in life since her kidney failure. She goes regularly for dialysis and is on the waiting list for a kidney and a pancreas. She uses her tribal skills to make beaded bracelets and handbags emblazoned with 'Obama'. I ordered 3 of them.

When Sandy first became aware of Barack she went online to research his family and political history and realized he was against the war, and against the bill to use her state, and sacred lands, as a nuclear dumpsite. She has lost hundreds of friends in the war in Iraq and is clear that '...it must stop, we have been lied to and we know it.'

  • I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing these!

Sandy's words brought me tears. Health care is also a big issue for my family (one of our 5 yr old twin boys has Autism) Under McCain's health care plan, our family is doomed.

Where can we buy Sandy's beaded work? I would love one, and I know my mother and daughter would love one as well.

    Keep up the awesome work!

  • Thanks Sandy for telling it like it is. You rock and tell the truth. Best wishes to you and your health. Peace.

  • sandy! Where can I buy your things?

  • Hey Sandy we love the spot!

    George, Taylor and Ian

  • Thank you Sandy
