Hi, sorry I dissapeared for ages lol. I love the fact that Christmas is drawn out because I love the cosy atmosphere and the idea of being with my family. Christmas decorations give me a warm feeling. We keep our decorations up for quite a while after Christmas too :-p lol

Fireworks on Halloween? I never heard of that.

Yeah Christmas stuff has been up here for weeks and I don't like it that they bring it out so early.

I wish I would see more Thanksgiving stuff or stuff for just fall decorating in general.

Of course I keep some 'Christmas' lights up in my office year round but I don't think of them as 'Christmas' lights. I tend to think of them as ambient lighting. *grin*

They have something called Guy Forks Night here in England which is on the 5th of Nov.. But they also set them off on Halloween..

I think these days people tend to forget the real meaning of christmas, which is not really cheap shiny shiny stuff all over the place...

it's pretty stupid to find all that christmas stuff already at october ofcourse, feels pretty bizzare in a way. :)

i like christmas so i don't mind if it comes early. i always wonder every year when's the proper time to take down the tree!

You are right, it is ridiculous that they start with the decoration in October, big waste of electricity as well which is being payed by the citizens through tax money and by making electricity more expensive, the money has to come from somewhere. But than again you in the UK don't have to worry about that much longer as the government is thinking about banning the Xmas decorations because it might be offensive for the muslims living there?!

personally, i loooooooove Christmas! i think it all depends on the person and their personal beiefs. there is just something so wonderful about the spirit of Christmas, so i really don't mind if it starts in October! BRING IT ON!! merry early Christmas :)
