  • Me too .. :) Im happy I could understand a bit or maybe got a general idea but I wish someone can explain to me in not so hard yoruba terms or English the Oriki for Ijesha people .. I'm Ipetu - Ijesha and proud! :) And I realized I am losing touch with the little culture I was brought up with so I am going back to digging into my roots and making sure I never forget no matter where I am

  • you have done a very good job, Babatunde. more of that

  • @oluwalogbon58 I am interested Nigerian culture as well. I think it's very important we understand, promote and uphold the wonderful culture we are endowed with

  • @princessadekunbi1 CHECK MY PAGE for the ife bronze exhibtion that is in london now.. i will most definately catch it before it finishes on june 6th.. amazing.. beautiful they didnt believe that africans could sculpt to the sophisticated level these bronzes are .. infact they said it was a "white tribe in ife " that did them lol! can you imagine the conceit of these white people ..?

  • @princessadekunbi1 am more focused on our culture and the positives in our own societies, i have been spending far too much time commenting to the lost and it has made me appreciate what we have we should never take our identity for granted.. to see what it does not to have one terrible.!

  • @oluwalogbon58 my is "abefe" and am very proud of that name.

  • @princessadekunbi1 my own oriki too!! ... my grandmother on my dad's side also gave me a name.."Abake" which is what she used to call me... there is nothing like home.. nothing..

  • @oluwalogbon58 you are so right and listening to my ijesa oriki wants me to move close to home. God bless my grandmom for her giving me this heritage, because when am angry she will stand to give me my father's oriki and before you know it I am smiling.
