@klachi7 I would use them for big heavy lifts. For example, when deadlifting i got to a certain point where my grip stopped me performing extra repetitions as i couldn' grip the bar and it came to the point where i would almost drop a heavy barbell when doing a 4 rep set. So use it on exercises where you plan to lift heaving as it helps keep the bar secure and puts less stress/strain on your wrist joint. Hope that helped

i spent 3 years working out my arm...besides my forearm. so my biceps say i can lift 40lb, but my forearms says otherwise...this might help.
