A classic Lancia engine. This is a narrow angle (13 degree) V4 engine of 1300ccs. The lead engineer on the Volkswagen VR series engines admitted to being influenced by this design hence the similarities in concept. The 1300cc variant produced between 87 and 101 bhp in road trim. Apart from bore and stroke, dimensionally this model was guesstimated. I'm not even sure about the position of the duplex chain idler (i think it had one) and the timing is way out - excuses over.
Created on Solidworks
Had another look at engineering drawings of the fulvia engine - in my model the valves in both cylinder banks are not far enough apart. I suspect there is not enough desaxe - the intersection of the cylinders is actually further below the crankshaft axis than I have it. I will put up a revised version soon. Also I will tighten the distance between the cylinder pairs. The aprilia is better in this respect.

Very cool but the crankshaft is wrong, the big end journals are very close together on the two throws. It is balanced as two V twin engines. :-)

Hi - I have checked photos of the actual crankshaft and my model is vert similar to the photo in general layout i. up-down-down-up. I'm not completely sure if the angular difference is 180 degrees though. Is this what you meant? In the real motor though the big end journals are closer together axially.

Hey guys - give my aprilia one a look too - more complex mechanism using a single camshaft from 1930s! Vincenzo's last car.

Might do a Lancia Aprilia motor next - what do you think?
