i have a 2.66ghz 4 core, Upgraded to 3.2ghz 4 core.
it took me 35mins to do the Upgrade, there are other video on youtube on how to Upgrade macpro cpu but only mac pro 2006-2008 cpu. This is MAC PRO 2009 Nehalem
you can upgrade the cpu with any intel cpu W35xx
i have a w3520 and i upgrade to w3565.

IT IS SUPER EASY TO UPGRADE!!!!!!!!

benchmarks on 2.66ghz is 8190 benchmarks on 3.2ghz is 10135

@lordtrini EBAY the cpu. yes you can upgrade to a 6 core cpu i did it to mine!

but you have to upgrade you EFI (bios) to install the 6 core cpu. IF YOU DO NOT UPGRADE you EFI aka bios IT WILL NOT WORK!!!  thankks

@UunonMopo i guess you dont know about MAC computers Because you can't overclock a cpu in a mac, there is NO BIOS on apple computers.
