First, APES and humans have a common ancestor, no monkeys involved. Second, no one wants kids? I know plenty of people who want to become parents, are parents, and want more kids yet still practice safe sex, LOTS of safe sex. It's like saying people who drive more than others cause more car accidents. You can get in an accident the first time you drive, and you can never have an accident and drive every day. That doesn't mean you legislate driving by letting certain people drive only so often.

And of COURSE pleasure is the meaning of life! Do you not find life pleasurable? I find pleasure in helping my friends and family, spending time outdoors, surfing the internet, working, walking, thinking--lots of things I find pleasurable. I wouldn't really like it if life wasn't about pleasure. And if people find pleasure in single or multiple partners, I wouldn't judge them. It's their life choice. Whatever happens legally between two consenting adults is their business, no one else's.

Vasectomy is a permanent decision for a male, not a female. I did it not to prevent pregnancy, although, indirectly I did, my original consideration was to get my wife off of birth control medications. They cause blood clotting, and clots cause stokes and death. It wasn't for me. She is a doctor so I have the direct information. I have known so for years.

Or just get a vasectomy. It is NOT good for women to use birth control 'pills.' They cause circulatory problems which cause neurological problems, as in my wife's case. She had a minor stroke. I said, "Take me to the doctor. Throw your pills away, go to your neurologist." Done, done and done. I was out $200 but I have a healthy wife and piece of mind. Takashi, do yourself a favor, research birth control.
