Another slow runner. It tends to speed up and slow down due to the uneven nature of the decking

  • G'day. I'd probably only run it a half dozen or so times by the time this video was shot. I bought this roller as new old stock and it dates, probably, from the 70's. I do oil it whenever I refill the burner or boiler (steam oil), and lubricate the bearings and linkages regularly.

Once it's been going for awhile and is nice and hot it will run at the slowest tick of any engine that I've got.

  • Hi, to get your engine to run so slow and stable, did you run it for a long time? ie is it well run in to do that?

  • Thanks. One day I'll get one of those turbines myself, but I want a Jensen 20 and 55 first ;)

  • HA! That is so awesome. I'm thinking of buying a Jensen steam turbine

(or building one of my own) to power an RC rolling platform. Should be pretty awesome.
