used to take my jindo hiking all the time..haha..my dog loved the mountains..i used to take him off leash..haha..i know thats a no no for jindos..anyways..my dog would chase deers and fight coyotes, hehe.. he also got bitten by a rattlesnake above his eye.lucky he survived..hehe..last time i went hiking..he fought a skunk..haha. he got sprayed 3 time and he still wanted to fight the skunk..anyways..my dog is gone now. i miss him. he sure was one crazy dog.lol

yuup. they only know their family. theyre still nice to other people but there's a huge difference in how they treat family versus strangers.

We can walk our Jindo off-leash, but they have to obey you without question before you can trust them to do that. When it rains, we send him out to walk our Bichon/poodle mix for us because we can't trust her off-leash. He's so smart. They're working dogs, so they're happiest when you give them a job to do. We walk him with a backpack of water bottles so he feels important. He wants nothing to do with anyone but his family--he'll be polite, but that's it.

i have a problem :( i have a jindo and i live in Scotland,i cant find anyone in UK that has a Jindo,please if you have one or know anyone that does please send me a message :) im looking to give her a litter next year,i know its a long time away but my baby is just over a year old and iv not heard of anyone that has a jindo in the last year,so it may take me another year to find sumone lol :) your help would be greatly appreciated :) thank-you

@SavageInsight other races of people eat dogs too! I don't know why people are putting the blame on Koreans! We eat horse meat and god forbid if some jockey saw us eating his horse! lol....

@dukemam expensive for a very good reason! You will not find a better animal at being useful and loveable!!! jindos are the best dogs ever! They don't bark obssesively, only when their territory are threatened! They don't tear things up unless they were abused! They keep themselves cleaner than any other dog! Their loyalty....is so deep that these dogs are made for only one owner! One Master! I loved my dog!!!

@matthewk227 my dog was the same! He was the alpha and the firstborn of the litter! He was a hunter from the get..always killing small birds as a puppy...then he fought off skunks, raccoons, deers, other larger dogs!...he loved the mountains and could mimick any bird sound! He was a treasure that I could never replace! I miss him so much! Nobody but a Jindo owner understands!
