Highway of Tears - I have known the pain and hurt in our community when volunteering with the RCMP Victim Services from 1989 to December of 2005. In November of 2005 the media ones again made us aware of a missing girl Tamara Chipman from the Terrace community. It was this that prompted me to check if I could assist the families so that their children would not be forgotten and registered the website www.highwayoftears.com

It is my prayer that through the Highway of Tears website stories of those missing or murdered may be told. These were children deserving to be loved and cared about.

Never have the government gave a care about our people, Canadian government is no different apparently... Our people keep dying, but we will grow, we must all bound together to fight this, to protect our Native sisters from such violence..

How sad that just because one is a different color or race nothing is done, The so called police it seems from what i read have done nothing and do not care, if this is the case they should be fired and something done about it.
